Earlier, Kola Adewusi, flanked by his wife was sworn in as the Deputy Governor of the state. They succeeded the Immediate Past Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola and his deputy Benedict Alabi who ruled between 2018-2022.Speaking after taking his oath, Governor Adeleke reversed the state from "State of Osun" to "Osun State".
