PTM Celebrates Teachers' Day with Fun-Filled Gathering

The Progressives Teachers Movement (PTM) hosted a vibrant celebration for teachers in the Oshodi-Isolo zone on October 5th, 2024, marking Teachers' Day with a memorable gathering at the NUT secretariat on Oshodi Road. The event provided a platform for educators to connect, celebrate their contributions, and enjoy a day of camaraderie and appreciation.
This event served as a testament to the PTM's commitment to supporting and recognizing the invaluable work of teachers in the Oshodi-Isolo zone.
The day began with a warm and nourishing breakfast of tapioca with milk, enjoyed by members as a gentle drizzle fell outside. The morning continued with a lively atmosphere as teachers engaged in friendly competition, playing table tennis and snooker indoors.
Following the games, a insightful lecture was delivered by the representatives of Association of Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) and Association of primary School Head teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON)
The audience included esteemed guests such as Head Teachers, Principals, teachers, and the NUT branch chairman for Oshodi-Isolo, Comrade Adegbesan Abosede Adeola.
Mr.Akinmade Kayode, the President of the PTM, warmly welcomed the attendees, expressing his deep appreciation for the resilience of teachers in the Oshodi-Isolo zone and their unwavering commitment to delivering quality education to their students. He highlighted the unity of purpose that drives their efforts.
Acknowledging the challenges faced, Mr.Akimade Kayode extended his gratitude to those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of the event. He specifically thanked the coordinators, the PTM "babes," and all the donors for their invaluable contributions.
