Ogundipe’s Infrastructure Drive in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency1 Excites Residents as Four Roads Near Completion

The ongoing road construction projects facilitated by Ogundipe Stephen Olukayode across four streets — Alhaji Shokoya, Baba Ode, Oluwasanmi, and Deji Adeoye — have reached an advanced stage, bringing relief and excitement to residents within the community.

Our correspondent, who visited the project sites, gathered that major progress has been recorded on the drainage system, while the installation of poles for streetlights is currently underway. Representatives of the contractor, Lagfield Construction Company, disclosed that the drainage construction is nearing completion, with work on the road surface expected to commence shortly.

Speaking during the inspection, a site engineer assured residents that the project is progressing according to schedule.

“We are committed to delivering a durable and standard road project that the community will be proud of. The drainage works are almost completed, and the next phase will focus on the road surface and other finishing touches,” the engineer stated.

Several residents who spoke with our correspondent commended the quality of materials and professionalism displayed by the contractors, noting that the standard of work compares favourably with similar projects executed within neighbouring communities.

A community resident, Mrs. Funmilayo Adebanjo, expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for facilitating the intervention.

“This project is a major relief to us. For years, these roads were in terrible condition, especially during the rainy season. We are happy with the quality of work and grateful to Hon. Ogundipe for remembering the people,” she said.

The residents also extended their appreciation to Babajide Sanwo-Olu for approving the project, while commending the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure for its effective supervision and monitoring of the construction process.

According to information gathered, the construction of the four roads is expected to be completed within nine months, a development many residents believe will significantly improve transportation, drainage, and economic activities within the affected communities.
