EKITI GUBERNATORIAL POLL: INEC DECLARES APC WINNER 
The Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) has declared All progressives Congress candidate Mr. Biodun Oyebanji as the winner of the governorship poll held on 18th June 2022 having polled 187,050 to defeat other candidates in the election.
Social Democratic Party candidate and former governor of the state Segun Oni came a distant second with 82,211 votes, followed by 
People Democratic Party with 67,457 votes.
All progressive Congress won a majority of the votes in fifteen local governments of the state while Pdp won one.
The election in Ekiti state according to the majority of the observers who monitored the polls claimed it was peaceful amidst allegations of voters buying and advised more sensitization of the electorate is required as the Osun state election would be next before the general election in February 2023.

Our correspondent confirmed officers of the Economic and financial control commission ( EFCC) arrested some party agents over alleged vote-buying at a polling station at Ola Oluwa Grammar school Ado Ekiti, the suspects were apprehended with a bag of cash used to induce voters.
