NIGERIA PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE CONCLUDED 
The Nigeria professional league was concluded on 17th July 2022, with four teams dropped from the elite division.

The four dropped teams were MFM, Kano pillars, katsina united, and heartland FC.
Remo Stars will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season after finishing in the third position in the Nigeria Professional Football League and Rivers united ( 2021/22 NPFL Champion) with plateau united would represent the country in the Africa champion league competition.

The nation club performances in Africa's prestigious club competitions have been woeful for over a decade but sports enthusiasm prayed the three clubs that would represent the country in Africa cup competitions would get it right this time and make the nation proud with support from Nigeria football federation and recruits of best legs to the clubs.

The North African teams have dominated African club competition and most times defeated the Nigeria team from advancing in the competition.
