Group rejects Yaya Bello appointment as national youth coordinator of APC presidential campaign council

2023: SASCO KICKS AGAINST THE APPOINTMENT OF GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO AS THE NATIONAL YOUTHS COORDINATOR

Condemned  appointment as the national youths coordinator of All progressives Congress ( APC ) presidential campaign council 

The Coalition of Students Support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and  Shettima Candidacy under the Umbrella of Supporters of Asiwaju Students Campaign Organization has condemned the appointment of Governor Yayaha Bello as the National Youths Coordinator of the All Progressives Congres (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

The Group rising from his Council meeting at  Grandview  Hotel Oshogbo, Tuesday,  kicked against the appointment as not a reflection of the youths  but recycling of leadership and means to subvert the roles of the youths in the Campaign Council.

Speaking on behalf of the Council, Com. Folarin Tejumola said that the appointment of Governor Yayaha Bello, a second term Governor and also a  contestant in the presidential primary is a reflection that the party is not ready to give room for fresh ideas and strategies that will give the party victory.

Folarin also noted that the appointment of Governor Yahaya Bello, whose administration has not supported Youth emancipation in Kogi State lacks such acceptance that the Presidential Campaign Council is trying to commit into his hands.

"It is very pertinent to note that we frown against the recycling of leadership  in Nigeria when there are many competent hands that can be given such tasks with the assurance to deliver"

" Governor Yayaha Bello is already blessed and has carved a niche for himself politically while it is time to give room for a fresh breed with new ideas who can relate with the needs of the youth and also understand their language is who the party should have appointed  to handle the affairs of youths and not someone like Yahaya having an issue with acceptance"

" The All Progressives Congress needs to realize that the coming presidential election is not going to be business as usual and we need someone who can easily relate with the Nigerian Youths and not someone like Governor Yahaya Bello who is already part of the system and who in no way shows any affinity or association with the Youth dilemma" .

The group rejects his appointment vehemently as it will lead the youth to nowhere, especially during many crises having to do with the youth while his voice has not been heard, and not now will someone like him be asked to be in charge of the youth section of the party.

He has neglected and failed to represent very well during his close to 8 year tenure as Governor of Kogi state.

Folarin pledged the commitment and support of the group to the actualization of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu's presidency while noting that they would not mind if a such replacement can even come from Kogi state to ensure equity but for Yahaya, it is a total No.
