Adele has been a strong advocate for quality education and youth empowerment. His administration:

• Provided educational grants and scholarships to deserving students from indigent backgrounds.

• Renovated primary schools across the local government, ensuring a conducive learning environment.

• Established ICT centers to equip young people with digital skills for the modern job market.

• Construction of 6 Classrooms at Nanti Nursery & Primary School

• Renovation of another 6 Classrooms and Roof at Nanti Nursery & Primary School

• Distribution of Life Jackets to students of Riverine Schools at Nanti Nursery & Primary School

• Supply of School Furniture to all Primary & Secondary Schools in Apapa, 

• Regular distribution of GCE and JAMB forms to indigent students. 

• Distribution of school bags and other school materials to indigent students.

• Fumigations & Decontaminations of all schools.

• Adult literacy programme

• Spelling bee competitions for Primary & Secondary schools in Apapa.

• Free tutorials for SS3 Students

*3. POVERTY ALLEVIATION/YOUTH EMPOWERMENT*

Adele’s administration has also supported small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through:

• December 2019 - N100,000 grant initiative to 165 beneficiaries for Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME)s in the area totaling N16.5 Million.

• December 2020 - N50,000 grant initiative to 140 residents including the Elderly, Widows and women in Apapa local government totaling N7Million.

• Joint partnership with Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) of 20 million of N150,000 - N200,000 loan to over 200 people with 5% interest.

• December 2020 - Cash gift of N10,000 each for 300 vulnerable beneficiaries totaling N3 Million.

• Renovation of Astroturf Mini Stadium.

• Financial assistance for medical, education, accommodation, business and others.

• Renovation of Apapa Skills & Vocation Acquisition Centre.

• Provision of equipment for the skill acquisition Centre.

• Distribution of start-up equipment and machines to graduates of Apapa Skills & Vocation Acquisition Centre e.g. hair dryers, generator, sewing machines, makeup kit & box.

• Distribution of food and cash palliatives to residents during the Covid-I 9 Crisis.

• Anti-cultism lectures quarterly pep talks for students

• Quarterly campaign against rape.

*4. HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELFARE*

Recognizing the importance of healthcare, his administration prioritized initiatives that improved residents’ access to medical services. Key achievements include:

• Construction of Sen. Muniru Muse Primary Health Care Centre (2 Storey Building)

• Construction of Laboratory Centre at the Primary Health Clinic

• Regular Supply of Drugs to the 3 PHCs Provision of free Eye checks and glasses

• Regular health Screening on Hypertension, Diabetes Screening and Counselling on HIV, Hepatitis, Prostate & Cervical cancers

• Family Health Education for Family Planning, material & Child care

• Health walk exercise

• Education on Nutrition and healthy food products

• Distribution of Covid prevention materials to staff and residents Training of health workers on infection prevention and control

• Water treatment at Youth centre

• The renovation and equipping of primary healthcare centers to cater to maternal and child health.

• Free medical outreach programs offering screenings, vaccinations, and treatment for common ailments.

• Provision of free drugs for elderly citizens and vulnerable individuals in the community.

Adele has worked closely with security agencies to enhance safety within Apapa. His efforts include:

• Strengthening the local security architecture by supporting the Nigerian Police Force and community vigilante groups with vehicles and communication equipment.

• Setting up conflict resolution platforms to address local disputes and foster peaceful coexistence.

• Monthly review, meetings on peace and security of the area.

• Regular stakeholders meeting on traffic and security in the area.

• Finance of regular security patrols of the local government.

• Provision of Solar Street lights at Ijora Market.

• Procurement of Security gadgets for 80 Neighbourhood Watch personnel.

*7.STAFF WELFARE*

• Renovation of blocks of offices for a conducive working environment for the staff of the council.

• Procurement of motor vehicles to all political appointees

• Procurement of Staff Bus.
