Councillorship Aspirants Pledge Support For Tinubu's 2027 Reelection Agenda
The re-election aspiration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term tenure has received a boost in Lagos following the launch of a group by a team of 2025 councillorship aspirants to support the agenda.
Tagged " The Renewed Hope Agenda '27 Movement", the group , according to a statement in Lagos on Tuesday was conceptualised by the aspirants who contested the 2025 local government election to demonstrate their unwavering support for the mandate of the president.
The statement e-signed by Hon. Emmanuel Dede and Hon. Kehinde Moshood coordinator and secretary respectively, stated that the platform was launched in partnership with the executive chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA Hon. Jimoh Olawale Saliu.
It stated that the aspirants, during the occasion highlighted their contributions to the recent E-membership registration and PVC registration exercises.
Members of the group also reaffirmed their readiness to work tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
The group however appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, APC national chairman, his Lagos State counterpart and the Lagos central senatorial district leaders for its members to be considered for supervisory Councillor position, Senior Special Assistants (SSA) and be included in the composition of the ward, local government and state executive.
It reads, " During the gathering, the aspirants highlighted their contributions to the recent E-membership registration and PVC registration exercises. They reaffirmed their readiness to work tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
"The Renewed Hope Agenda ’27 movement was conceptualised by a vibrant team of young 2025 councilorship aspirants in Apapa-Iganmu LCDA to demonstrate unwavering support for the mandate of our National Leader and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
"The movement officially commenced with the launch of its platform alongside the number one citizen of Apapa-Iganmu LCDA, Hon. Jimoh Olawale Saliu.
"During the gathering, the aspirants highlighted their contributions to the recent E-membership registration and PVC registration exercises. They reaffirmed their readiness to work tirelessly to ensure a resounding victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
"In his address, the Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu LCDA urged the aspirants to remain united and focused. He emphasized the importance of avoiding caucus politics and instead aligning with the broader objectives of the party.
" He reminded members that individuals criticized today may become valuable allies tomorrow, stressing the need to respect party elders and leaders at all times.
"The aspirants appealed to the Chairman to ensure their inclusion in all party activities, reaffirming their commitment to securing victory in 2027.
"They also expressed their desire to participate in the upcoming Congress and to be considered for roles such as Supervisory Councillors and Senior Special Assistants (SSA), as part of their political development journey.
"Furthermore, they urged both the Federal and Lagos State Governments to give greater consideration to Apapa-Iganmu LCDA in developmental planning. They called for improved infrastructure, increased banking presence, and the establishment of factories and industries to stimulate economic growth.

The Chairman encouraged all members to actively contribute to maintaining peace and stability within the community, noting that a peaceful environment is essential for attracting investors and fostering development.
"The meeting concluded with the presentation of an Award of Excellence to the Chairman in recognition of his inclusiveness and unbiased leadership. The movement encouraged him to remain steadfast in his pursuit of human capital and infrastructural development for the LCDA."
